Granite and quartzite are natural stones; hence its veins and colors vary from one slab to another, and even within the same slab. These variations, which are a product of nature, make each kitchen countertop one of a kind. This exclusivity cannot be found in any other material, except natural stone. The samples in stores and exhibitions are just examples and will not be an exact match of the end product to be fitted. Slabs can vary in tone, saturation, nuances, particle structure and veins. Marks, cracks and impurities are normal in natural stone. They are not deemed to be defects, being instead unique characteristics of stone.

The penetration of the Sensa by Cosentino® treatment is variable and depends on the characteristics of the natural stone. Studies show that the treatment penetrates up to 5 mm. If the natural stone is damaged beyond 5 mm, the propensity of the area to stain increases depending on the porosity of the material.

The colors of Sensa by Cosentino® are mainly original from Brazil, where Cosentino has modern facilities, except some materials, which are exclusive to other countries. They are exotic granites and quartzites with wide variety of colours. Each slab of Sensa by Cosentino® is unique and is carefully extracted using modern equipments, obtaining the best quality surfaces.

If it is necessary to repolish or a repair a damaged area, given the high penetration capacity of the product (up to 5 mm), in most cases nothing further is required to continue to protect your natural stone. Cosentino supplies stonemasons with a product for application in extreme cases of repairs, which is also to be used when making holes and edges.

The treatment has good thermal stability. Sensa by Cosentino® can withstand temperatures above 300°C, which is the thermal stability of the protective treatment.

Sensa by Cosentino® is easy to care for and clean. The technology of the Sensa by Cosentino® treatment assists cleaning and keeps countertops protected. While other natural stones require annual sealing, Sensa by Cosentino® is virtually maintenance free. Clean your countertops using just water and a mild detergent.
